The Wesselman Nature Society is a 501c(3) not-for-profit, environmental organization. We were founded in 1972 for the purpose of protecting the 200 acre tract in Evansville, Indiana now known as Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve. Today, the Society is responsible for the management and daily operations of Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve, as well as our west side property the Howell Wetlands, and our newest venture, Canoe Evansville

The Wesselman Nature Society (WNS) is located in the Nature Center at the Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve.
Enter Wesselman Park; stay to the right. Once you reach the forest, the road takes a sharp left. After a quarter of a mile, the entrance is on the right.
Wesselman Nature Society and Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve are open during the same hours:
Tuesday – Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm (During the months of November-January, we will close at 4 pm)
Sunday: 12 pm – 5 pm (During the months of November-January, we will close at 4 pm)
