Get Outside with Spring Programs!
As the warm weather and spring green are tempting you to get outside and enjoy nature, we invite you to participate in one or more of our many hands-on outdoor learning experiences. Below are several examples of the various programs offered through Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve (WWNP), Howell Wetlands (HW), and Canoe Evansville (CE).

New Birding Event Takes Flight This Spring!
Birding enthusiasts and novices alike will want to be sure to mark their calendars for a new event this spring in celebration of International Migratory Bird Month. Wesselman Nature Society has partnered with the Evansville Audubon Society, Evansville’s Wild Birds Unlimited store, and John James Audubon State Park to bring four days of birding excitement to Evansville and the surrounding region on May 1–4, 2008. Also Saturday, May 3rd, will be a special Family Day for all ages.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
Wesselman Nature Society operates a drop off recycling center at Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve for the collection of select recyclable items. Revenues from the sale of these items are used to fund programs. We appreciate your recycling efforts and hope you will make us your recycling center! The Recycling Center is located just north of the Wesselman Woods Nature Center. Recycle Saturday! will be held from 8 a.m. to Noon at Evansville Day School on May 3rd. We are accepting cardboard, newspaper, magazines,catalogs, phone books, mixed paper, aluminum cans, metal food cans, glass containers, #1 & #2 plastic bottles, and household batteries.
The Wesselman Nature Society is the 501c(3) not-for-profit organization responsible for the preservation, management, and daily operations of Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve, Howell Wetlands, and Canoe Evansville.
