Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve is the place to be this fall for seasonal family fun! This October, Wesselman Nature Society is hosting Harvest Festival and Hayrides at Wesselman Woods, a one of a kind family festival featuring seasonal activities such as hayrides, leaf rubbing, live animal encounters, children's crafts, an autumn campfire, owl prowl hikes, and more. This is a great opportunity for families and friends to enjoy the high point of our colorful fall season in Evansville’s old growth forest.
Wesselman Park will be closed to traffic during the event, while you and other festival goers enjoy a hayride past Halloween-theme displays. Your ride will stop at the entrance of Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve where you hop off the wagon and enter an atmosphere that will excite the kids and offer a nostalgic and fun experience for parents as well.
Meanwhile, hayrides will continually circle the park for those who just want to relax and soak up the autumn scenery, and delicious treats will also be available for purchase.
In short, there is nothing like the Harvest Festival and Hayrides! Don’t miss out on this unique celebration of our changing season.
Admission is $7 per person/$25 per family (max. 5 people); children age 3 and under are free. Call 812.479.0771 for more information.
