Whether it’s a backyard, community garden, schoolyard, rooftop garden, or even a business site you can create a habitat that will attract birds, butterflies and other wildlife. It’s easier than you may think. The National Wildlife Federation’s Certified Wildlife Habitat program, hosted locally by Wesselman Nature Society, gives you all the information you will need! Warm weather and longer days are coaxing many of our native wildflowers out to bloom once again. In fact, they are sprouting up left and right. Here are a few species to watch for at Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve and Howell Wetlands.
