$50 per student; $45 for WNS members

Banshee This summer Wesselman Nature Society is offering a new reading program with a twist, not to mention talons, feathers, and beaks! In a unique combination that is part book club and part science discovery, the
new Reading With Raptors program will offer teens age 12
to 14 (or grades 6 - 8) a lasting experience through various literature titles featuring birds of prey and through up close encounters with live raptors. As participants meet each week to discuss the book, WNS naturalists and docents will present a different raptor as well. Craft projects, owl pellet dissection, and nature journaling will add to the fun. Participants will also become actively involved in stewardship projects by maintaining trails, working in the Recycle Center, or helping to clean the raptor mews. This is a unique opportunity for middle school youth!

For more information, or to register, call 479-0771, ext. 100 or email WNS Director Susan Haislip.
