They're slithering! They're crawling! They're hopping! And . . .
They will be at Evansville’s Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve on the weekend of June 14–15! What are they? Over 150 reptiles and amphibians that will be on display during the annual Reptile Invasion, the largest reptile show in Southwestern Indiana.
During this exciting weekend, the Wesselman Woods Nature Center will be transformed into a wild serpentarium full of lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, and salamanders of all sizes! Visitors will experience the thrill of up-close encounters with both native and exotic species while also learning why reptiles and amphibians are an important part of any ecosystem.
“These cold-blooded critters sometimes get a bad rap,” said Wesselman Nature Society Naturalist Scott Kramer. “For many, just seeing them in a safe learning environment is the beginning of that transformation from fear and aversion to intrigue and appreciation.”
See the WNS website for the event schedule and other information about Reptile Invasion.
