Regional Sustainability Conference
Wednesday, October 28, 2009
The Centre, Downtown Evansville

Following is a comment from Doug Henton regarding his presentation at the upcoming Regional Sustainability Conference. Click here for Henton's full bio.

graphicClimate and energy issues create both challenges and opportunities for the Evansville region.   While rising energy costs could pose a threat to the economy, regional efforts to promote savings and create clean energy alternatives can also generate economic opportunities and new jobs.
How the Evansville region responds to climate and energy issues will shape its economic future.   The Evansville region could emerge as a national model of new development if its new Regional Sustainability Alliance were to promote green savings, opportunity and talent.
Lessons learned from other regions involved in promoting climate prosperity will be shared along with the results of national studies of green jobs.

The conference fee is just $99 per person.  For more information about the Regional Sustainability Conference, please visit www.ccswin.com or contact Andrea Deig-Sandefur, events coordinator, at 812.425.8147 or via e-mail at asandefur@ccswin.com.
