Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve is located at 551 N. Boeke Rd. in the heart of Evansville, Indiana. Once in Evansville you can reach Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve easily via SR66/Lloyd Expressway. From either the east or west take the Boeke Rd. exit off the Lloyd Expressway. Head north on Boeke Rd. for approximately half a mile. Turn right into Wesselman Park. Follow the Park road as it veers right and continue until you see the Nature Preserve entrance sign. Handicap and regular parking is available in two lots adjacent to the Nature Center building.

Hours of Operation

Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. We are closed every Monday. We are also closed on Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.

Admission to Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve and the Nature Center is free, except on days when we are conducting special events. Please refer to the events calendar page regarding dates for these special events and other programs.
